Nick Of Time!

One evening, I was on my way to church along with my mom during my holidays. Having changed to our new house about a month back, I was still getting used to the new surroundings. We normally catch a rick from next to our building. But today the rickwala asked us an above-normal price! So my mom and myself decided to catch a rick from the main-road. During my walk, I decided to explore the new environment. There seemed something strange about this evening! Maybe it’s because I had just gotten up from my deep slumber! Little did I know that I would be awakened by an incident that followed up.
I saw this three year old kid playing with two elders standing with him. The kid sees his mother (or so I think she was) on the other side of the road. Excited, the kid runs along caring little for the vehicles that move along. The elders suddenly see the child crossing and shout as a bike approaches the ‘free’ child at good speed. I realize that any person who can do something is me. I take a step or two forward, grab the little boy and pulls it back to safety. The biker meanwhile, had pulled over just in time as well. But had the boy continued with his carefree run across the road, he might have ended up under the wheels of another approaching bike going towards the direction of our walk!
The child is safe in my hands. He looks up and sees the strangers face. But the look on his face is that of cluelessness! He had no clue what hapeened and what was to happen!!! Such is the innocence of a child! But what happened next is something that I didn’t expect!!! I suddenly see the child dragged off my hands by one of the two ‘elders’. He starts slapping and hitting the little three year old ruthlessly. So the fault lies with the child heh? You leave your kid unattended in a busy road and then blame the innocent thing for being given that freedom to fly!!!
Our shouts to leave the child is hardly being heard at! As we continue our walk, we could still hear the child’s weeping (this is an understatement) about 100 metres away! The evening really was strange!!!

Squeak!

I was just going through my profile admiring myself (wondering how does one do that by just looking into one’s profile? Well, don’t ask me… I dunno either!!!)… It reads-
Blessen Varghese (Yea, that IS my name!!!)
Age: 21 (Can’t believe its been 21 years since my birth!!! Seems just like yesterday!!!)
Astrological Sign: Virgo (Yup, that’s my ‘star’ sign’ although I dont believe in them!!!)
I bump into what is called my ‘Zodiac Year’!!! And next to it is the word- ‘Rat’! How apt for a ‘well built’ 5′ 6″ guy like me!!! I have no clue what on earth does a Zodiac Year mean but I must say this was funny!!!
P.S. Somebody please enlighten my little brain about what on ea’R(A)T’h this is all about? *squeaks*

Back to annoy!!!

I am finally back to post something crappy again on my crappy blog which records a ‘record’ 4 hits every month!!! One of my friends had asked me keep a ‘HIT’ counter on my blog… Well, why on this blue earth would I want to embarrass myself by doing that??? Cause’ it would have hardly got into double figures by now. I have to literally beg to my friends who come online to visit meemallumumbaikar!! So does that mean this humble mallu from the little town of Dombivli (it ain’t a village Carlo!) is gonna stop blogging? Of course NOT!!! My blog still would rank amongst the best in ‘If u wanna discourage someone from blogging, read this blog’ category!!!
Anyways, it’s nice to be back online after what seems like eternity!!! So, for all the four who reads and are extremely kind enough to post a comment on this blog, please please please continue to do so or else…. or else…. or else… i would start blogging at the rate of 9 blogs everyday and make you read and comment on each one of them!!! (Yeah right!!!)
